Oil painting- 'trees are people'

A break from my new camera for a moment. This painting was started during the summer. im proud to say that i built the canvas from scratch and stretched it with rabbit skin glue then primed it. the design came from a drawing i did whilst at University doing a drawing project with james bourne. we drew for 24hours (i slept a bit). we had a type writer with us and added to the drawings when we felt like it. we did alot of swapping work and finishing pieces for each other. the words 'trees are people seeds have needs' was a spontaneous phrase, but it has stuck with me for a while. i sold the original drawing for £20 to a good friend. the seeds used are runner beans.
